Healthy Smile, Healthy You: Don’t Think Twice About Your Oral Health

We go on with our lives day in and day out, giving our full attention to work and everyday problems without spending the least bit of time taking care of ourselves. I know I speak for most, because I used to be a person who always put optimal well-being as top priority and only then everything else. That was until things got more demanding at work, technology changes brought for program and schedule changes so let’s just say my job stopped being so fun and turned into too serious all of a sudden which left me little to no time to actually pay attention to a tooth that’s been giving me some trouble.

I’d always marveled at the way technology improved many aspects of life, including dentistry and was amazed by the long lasting solutions and convenient tooth implant cost Melbourne clinics offered, but I never thought I’d be one needing them.

It all happened during my trip to Europe. Getting the first chance I could to get some rest and relaxation, I arranged a trip to Europe, prepared my suitcase and couldn’t wait any longer to visit some new places and soak up new cultures. Days went by, I was having the time of my life walking through historic sites and savouring the moments of tasting mouthwatering delicacies. Unfortunately, as it’s said, all good things come to an end, my joy was interrupted by a sound of cracking and some strange feeling in my mouth as I was having a bite of burek.

A quick trip to the diner’s toilet revealed something scary: the filling of my tooth had fallen out, leaving my tooth bare, broken and inviting bacteria. Months before my trip preparations, I’d gone to the dentist and had a root canal procedure, thinking that was the end of my worries. Being far from home, not knowing any dental clinics or, let alone, the prices, feeling devastated would be putting it simply. After having some recommendations from friends, I managed to get to a dentist and have the tooth treated but just temporarily as it seemed, partly because of the price, and the other because of not so good materials. As soon as I got back home, I paid dentists a visit and after considering many aspects, I took tooth implant cost Melbourne specialists provide, figured tooth implants were the way to go.

My smile is brighter than ever, I can eat now without worrying about teeth falling out (at least not the implants) and can say the initial costs of getting them are far more of an investment than having other not so lasting solutions that require frequent replacements which equals more money spent. Don’t be like me and think twice about your healthy self, if there’s a tooth bothering you, get it taken care of ASAP!
