A Quaint Small Apartment For Every Big Dreamer

If you think you’ve had your share of hard time regarding decorating your house or your three room apartment, think about the people that have to place it all in one room. One-room apartments are unbelievably challenging when it comes to interior design and organizing in general. The owners face a lot of problems finding creative solutions without sacrificing the comfort of their home and that’s as demanding as it gets.

However, there are plenty of people who live in small places and these folks need inspiration and a little cheerful push to bring their hopes up and show them that even tiny apartments can make for awesome and stylish homes. That’s when we step in and spread the good word among the “one-room apartment” people: it will be a challenging, yet joyful ride.

As an owner of a tiny apartment, the first thing you should know is that you have to make the most out of your space. Now although it’s true the living room, the kitchen and the bedroom will be all in one, that shouldn’t disappoint your inner designer’s wishes because there’s actually a lot you can do to make your little home comfortable, intimate and simply nice. Usually, since the living-dining-sleeping room is the center of it all, painting it in pale colors is sure to infuse some positivity.

Whether you’re a couple or a single person, sticking to a bigger bed is always a better option, even when it comes to little space homes. A cool, yet space-saving idea is purchasing a single bunk bed since that way you can use the space underneath the bed as a reading corner, an office desk or something else. There are many queen sized single bunk beds on the market these days so finding the one that fits your home style won’t be a problem at all.

When it comes to the living room area, don’t be too modest about it. Just because it’s a small living room, it doesn’t mean you should leave out the cute contemporary coffee tables that we all fall in love with once we enter a furniture store. Feel free to let this area take up the role of a big and serious living room without excluding anything. Choose a medium sized sofa, a simple wooden stool and one of the many contemporary coffee tables to give the room a full-time interior design experience.

The kitchen area, on the other hand, should be placed close to a window or it should have really good ventilation because you wouldn’t want your sleeping pillow to smell like the fried eggs you had for breakfast. If you have all of this you won’t even notice your kitchen and your bed are in the same room. By picking bright colored furniture both for the kitchen and the living room area can open up the space and trick anyone into believing the apartment is wide and spacious.

However, this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t play with colors. Decorations, pillows, carpets and any other interesting item can make your little home feel alive and colorful. Natural flowers, big windows, cute posters and a cool cover set for the bed are the essential ingredients for a welcoming and cozy one-room apartment. With a little bit of help and a lot of thinking outside the box you’ll have the cutest small apartment that all your friends would love to visit. Happy decorating!
