The Holy Bible, The Book of All Times

The Holy Bible, The Book of All Times

Reading has got to be the most widespread guilty pleasure around the world. With so many books in libraries and bookshops, as well as the chance to read in an electronic form nowadays, there’s never a bad time to indulge in a good story. As they say reading feeds the imagination, but it equally feeds the soul, so what you read matters a great deal. There are those books that feed one or the other, and then there are those that feed both, leaving a long-lasting impression. Such a book is the book of all times, the Holy Bible. Though it’s a religious book, you don’t have to consider yourself religious to read it. That’s the miracle of the Bible, it unites people and it does so by spreading the word of God.

It shows us His love and it teaches us how to differentiate right from wrong, how to be mindful of the decisions we make and how they affect the people around us, as we can so easily identify with all the stories of prophets and common people alike. It holds valuable lessons about the power of belief and the secrets of life. What makes the Bible so special is there is no specific way to read it to be able to understand it, we’re all different with different points of view which results in many ways we can interpret and decipher the meanings of events and stories mentioned in it.

Every bit we read is full of teachings of morality and justice. It causes admiration to think it has helped shape the world we know, being the book with the most translations, so reading it is a kind of universal thing, an activity that connects us with millions of people worldwide same as it connects us with our ancestors. There are many versions and translations fit for different readers, all it takes is doing a little search and you’ll find your ideal version of the Holy Bible online.

With so many available translations of the Holy Bible online, it might be a bit of trouble choosing the right one for you. Perhaps you’ve read or heard of certain versions singled out as being the best or the most popular, but don’t be misled by that; only you can know which one is the perfect version for you so do a research about a particular translation you decide on before you purchase it to see if it’s the one. There’s even a new Bible with emojis designed for millennials that’s gaining momentum. Study Bibles are good if you want to have a space to write some notes, check footnotes, and see whether there’s been an addition or omission of a certain manuscript, differing from the original text.

It’s interesting to note every Bible we see is a translation that aims for being written in a language that’s more understandable for present day readers which means we can expect more to emerge sooner or later. The King James, New King James, International Version, New International Version, English Standard Version, the New Living Translation are all the translations of the original scripture.
