E3 Series
The Segway E3 Series steps up from the basic E2 range with more comfort and stability for everyday riding. The current range includes the E3 and E3 Pro, with both aimed at riders who want a compact scooter that can handle more than short trips.
Both models have a clean, streamlined appearance and use 10-inch tubeless tyres. They also have front and rear elastomer suspension, which helps absorb bumps and uneven sections of road.
The E3 produces up to 800 W of peak power, reaches 25 km/h and offers up to 30 km of range at that speed. The E3 Pro extends that range to 40 km at 25 km/h and up to 55 km in Eco Mode.

F2 Series

The F2 has a sturdy, practical appearance, with a wide handlebar and a larger deck that gives riders more room. Its 10-inch tubeless tyres use a self-sealing layer to help deal with small punctures without the need for immediate repair.
Depending on the model, the series offers up to 25 km/h and up to 55 km or more of range. The F2 also uses front suspension to soften bumps and uneven surfaces. F3 Series

The F3 models have a substantial but streamlined look, with wider decks and larger road-going components than the E Series. The F3 Pro produces up to 1,200 W of peak power, reaches 25 km/h and offers up to 70 km of range under Segway’s maximum-range test conditions.
It uses front hydraulic suspension and rear elastomer suspension to smooth out rougher roads. Ten-inch self-sealing tyres add further protection against punctures.
Next, the Pro also includes Segway’s stability enhancement system, Traction Control, Intelligent Riding Assist, AirLock and Apple Find My. Its built-in navigation and incoming-call notifications add more smart functions for regular commuters. Weighing around 19.3 kg, the F3 Pro is easier to carry than the much larger MAX and GT models.
MAX Series
With larger decks, longer range, and more advanced suspension, MAX range scooters suit riders who spend more time on the road and want comfort on longer commutes. Models include the MAX G2 and newer MAX G3, with the G3 moving the series further into high-performance urban riding.
The MAX scooters have a more substantial build than the E and F ranges mentioned above. The MAX G2 combines a 900 W motor with rear-wheel drive, dual suspension and 10-inch self-sealing tyres. It offers up to 70 km of range and reaches 25 km/h.
The newer MAX G3 increases power to 2,000 W and adds dual hydraulic suspension, dual disc brakes and a 597 Wh battery. Segway rates it for up to 65 km of range at 25 km/h, or up to 80 km when riding at a lower speed.
Both models include built-in indicators and app connectivity. The MAX G3 also adds a TFT display, Bluetooth unlocking, navigation and Apple Find My.
GT Series
The Segway GT Series sits at the performance end of the range. With this level of performance, the GT Series is aimed at experienced adult riders. The GT3 and GT3 Pro are made for riders who want serious power and long-range performance.
The GT3 has a substantial frame, large 11-inch self-sealing tyres and dual hydraulic suspension. Its rear-wheel-drive motor produces up to 2,400 W, while its maximum speed is 25 km/h. Segway rates its range at up to 75 km when travelling at 25 km/h and up to 95 km in Eco mode.
The GT3 Pro takes things up a notch. Its dual motors produce up to 7,000 W, with a claimed top speed of 80 km/h and up to 138 km of range in Eco mode. It uses adjustable hydraulic suspension, hydraulic disc brakes and Segway’s traction and stability systems.
Since the GT3 Pro can reach 80 km/h, it may not be legal to ride it on public roads or paths. Australian riders should check their local e-scooter laws before riding the GT3 Pro.
ZT Series
The Segway ZT Series is built for riders who want to move beyond ordinary city streets. At the centre of the range is the ZT3 Pro, an all-road scooter designed for both urban riding as well as rougher surfaces.
The ZT3 Pro has a rugged, substantial appearance, with 11-inch all-road tubeless tyres and a strong frame. Its front double telescopic suspension and rear spring suspension help deal with uneven ground, while Segway’s SegRide stability system and Traction Control provide more control on slippery surfaces.
The scooter produces up to 1,600 W of peak power, reaches 25 km/h and offers up to 50 km of range at that speed, or 70 km in Eco Mode. It also has front and rear disc brakes, built-in indicators and a 4 W front light.
The ZT3 Pro also has a 3-inch display and app connectivity.
D Series
The Segway D Series include the D18E, D28E and D38E. The main difference between the models is the battery capacity and range. The three scooters can travel up to 18, 28 or 38 km respectively and reach speeds of up to 25 km/h.
The D Series has a distinctive look, with bright red footboards and a simple, practical frame. All three models use 10-inch pneumatic tyres with inner tubes, giving the ride more cushioning over ordinary city surfaces.
They also use two braking systems: an electronic front brake and a rear drum brake. A built-in 2.1 W front LED light, rear light and E-MARK reflectors improve visibility when riding in low light.
The D18E weighs around 14.8 kg, while the D38E weighs around 16.3 kg, making these models relatively manageable to carry. Charging takes around 3.5 hours for the D18E, five hours for the D28E and 6.5 hours for the D38E. The D Series is therefore a straightforward option for riders who want basic urban transport with three range choices.

The Segway Ninebot MAX series is probably the best choice for long-distance riding. As already mentioned, models such as the MAX G3 can reach up to 65 km on a single charge. Of course, your actual range will vary depending on how and where you ride. Factors such as speed, rider weight, hills, terrain and weather can affect battery life. You might cover fewer kilometres in hot, windy and hilly conditions.

Again, the Segway Ninebot MAX series is a great choice for commuting.
